When and how can I reach the emergency service?
From 6 am to 8 pm on +49 641 97 24 41 49. Heating failed in winter, water running out of the wall, drain blocked and nothing works? Call us. Our emergency service covers Giessen, Wetzlar, Marburg, the Wetterau and the Hochtaunus region – from 6 am to 8 pm. On the phone we tell you right away when we can be there and what you can do until then to limit the damage.
Costs: We tell you the call-out fee and the hourly rate for out-of-hours work on the phone before we set off – no surprises on the invoice.
What can I do until the emergency service arrives?
Heating failure
- Check the system pressure (1–2 bar) and the fuse for the heating.
- Note the error code on the display – it helps us bring the right part.
- Press the reset button once; if the fault returns, do not keep resetting.
- Keep taps slightly open in frost to prevent pipes from freezing.
Burst pipe / water leak
- Close the main stopcock (usually in the basement near the water meter).
- Switch off electricity in the affected area.
- Open taps to drain the pipes.
- Take photos for the insurance and move valuables out of the way.
Blocked drain / backflow
- Stop using water in the affected area.
- Do not use chemical drain cleaners – they damage pipes and complicate our work.
- Check whether other drains are affected (sign of a main-line blockage).
Gas smell
- Do not operate any switches, no open flames, no phone inside the house.
- Open windows, close the gas main valve if accessible.
- Leave the building and call the gas emergency number of your network operator – then us.
Which emergencies do we handle?
- Heating failure, no hot water, error codes, pressure loss – all common brands
- Heat-pump faults
- Burst pipes, leaking fittings, dripping connections, leak detection
- Blocked drains, toilets and downpipes
- Defective water heaters and boilers
After the emergency repair we tell you honestly whether a permanent repair, a part replacement or – for old boilers – a replacement with funding makes more sense.
