Questions & answers

What customers from Giessen, Wetzlar and Marburg ask us most often – answered honestly, with numbers instead of phrases.

Figures as of October 2026

Heat pump

For a single-family house an air-to-water heat pump usually costs €25,000 to €35,000 before funding – including buffer tank, hydraulics, removal of the old boiler and commissioning. With the 2026 funding of 30 to 80 percent, the own share is often between €8,000 and €20,000. Our funding check calculates it for your case.

In most cases, yes. The deciding factor is whether the radiators keep the house warm at flow temperatures of 50–55 °C. We check this with a heat-load calculation; often enlarging one or two radiators is enough. High-temperature heat pumps deliver up to 75 °C if required.

Current units produce 30–40 dB(A) at three metres, about as loud as a quiet fridge. At night 35 dB(A) must not be exceeded at the neighbour's window in residential areas. We plan the installation site accordingly and use sound hoods where needed.

A house with 20,000 kWh of heat demand and a seasonal performance factor of 3.5 needs about 5,700 kWh of electricity – around €1,400 to €1,700 per year with a heat-pump tariff. That is usually below previous gas or oil costs.

The installation itself takes three to five working days. Including consultation, quote, funding application and delivery you should allow six to twelve weeks.

Many air-to-water heat pumps offer passive or active cooling via underfloor heating or fan convectors. We tell you whether this makes sense for your house.

Funding 2026

Since the BEG reform of 21 July 2026 (KfW programme 458): 30% basic subsidy, 16% climate-speed bonus for replacing a working oil or gas heating (owner-occupiers, applications until 31 January 2027), and an income bonus of 40, 30 or 10% for taxable household incomes up to €30,000, €40,000 or €50,000. Maximum 80% of eligible costs of up to €28,000 – a subsidy of up to €22,400.

The application must be submitted before the work starts. A contract can be concluded subject to funding approval – just ask us. Applications after the start of work are rejected.

The taxable income of all household members, averaged over the second and third year before the application (e.g. 2023 and 2024 for an application in 2026). Households with at least one minor child deduct €10,000.

No. Pure gas condensing boilers receive no BEG funding. Hybrid systems are funded for the heat-pump share; pellet boilers and heat pumps in full.

Approval usually takes a few days after submission in the KfW portal. The subsidy is paid out after installation, once you have uploaded the invoice and our proof of completion.

Heating & replacement

From 15 years it is worth looking at the economics; from 20 years replacement usually pays off, especially with funding. Boilers older than 30 years may be subject to a legal replacement obligation (§ 72 GEG).

Yes, but under the Building Energy Act new gas boilers must be able to run on a growing share of renewable gases, and from the municipal heat plan onwards the 65% renewable rule applies. We tell you honestly whether gas still makes sense in your case.

Maintenance of a gas condensing boiler usually costs €120 to €200 including function check, burner service and flue-gas measurement. We quote the price in advance.

All common ones: Vaillant, Viessmann, Buderus, Bosch, Wolf, Junkers, Brötje, Weishaupt and more. We work independently of manufacturers.

A standard replacement interrupts heating for one to two days; a heat pump takes three to five days. In the heating season we provide mobile heaters if needed.

Bathroom & plumbing

A standard bathroom of 6–8 m² costs €12,000 to €25,000 fully renovated, depending on fittings. Premium fittings or larger bathrooms cost more. Our bathroom calculator gives a first range.

Usually two to three weeks for a complete renovation. We agree the schedule in advance and keep it.

Yes: KfW grant of up to €6,250 (programme 455-B, subject to available funds) and, with a care level, up to €4,180 from the care insurance. In addition 20% of labour costs are tax-deductible (§ 35a EStG, max. €1,200 per year).

No. We coordinate all trades internally – you have one contact person and one fixed price.

Yes – replacing a tap, installing a new WC, fixing a leaking pipe. Not every job has to be a complete renovation.

Air conditioning

A single-split unit for one room starts at about €1,800 including installation; multi-split systems for several rooms from about €4,000. The exact price depends on cooling capacity and pipe runs.

In most cases no, but noise limits towards neighbours apply and in rented flats the landlord's consent is needed. We advise on the installation site.

Once a year, ideally before the cooling season: filters, refrigerant circuit, condensate drain and a function check.

Emergency & repair

Yes – for heating failures, burst pipes and blockages, from 6 am to 8 pm. Call +49 641 97 24 41 49; we tell you right away when we can be there. Our emergency page explains what you can do until we arrive.

We tell you the call-out fee and the hourly rate for out-of-hours work on the phone before we set off – no surprises on the invoice.

That depends on the time and the current workload. For a heating failure in winter we come as fast as possible, often the same day. We give you a realistic time on the phone.
