Regular maintenance ensures efficient operation and extends the life of your heating.
A heating system that isn't regularly maintained gradually loses efficiency. Deposits in the burner, dirty heat exchangers and incorrectly set heating curves can increase energy consumption by up to 15%. At the same time the risk of sudden failures rises — especially when you can least afford it: in deepest winter.
Beyond that, almost all manufacturers require annual maintenance as a condition for keeping the warranty. Many insurers also demand proof of regular maintenance in case of damage. With professional heating maintenance from Aurora Haustechnik you protect yourself in several ways: save energy, avoid expensive repairs and secure your warranty claims.
For every maintenance we work through a comprehensive checklist so no detail is missed:
Gas heating is still very common in Hesse. When servicing a gas thermal unit or condensing boiler we pay particular attention to burner adjustment, gas-line tightness and condensate drainage. Dirty burners on gas units quickly lead to higher CO emissions and rising consumption. We thoroughly clean the burner, check the ignition electrodes and adjust combustion so your unit runs in the optimal range. The legally required flue-gas measurement is performed during the maintenance.
Oil heating requires special attention to the nozzle, oil filter element and combustion chamber. Soot deposits in the heat exchanger reduce efficiency more sharply than on comparable gas units. We replace the burner nozzle, change the oil filter, clean the combustion chamber and heat exchanger and tune combustion precisely. This way your oil heating remains economical and reliable — even if a replacement is years away.
Heat pumps also need regular care, even though they have no burner. When servicing an air-to-water or brine-to-water heat pump we check the refrigerant circuit for leaks, inspect the evaporator and clean the outdoor unit of leaves and dirt. We also measure the seasonal performance factor and compare it with manufacturer specs — that way we spot efficiency drops early. Electronic controls and sensors are checked too so your heat pump runs reliably and efficiently.
Call us or use our online form. We find a convenient time together — also at short notice.
Our technician arrives on time, gets an overview of your heating and discusses the procedure.
Burner, heat exchanger and all components are thoroughly cleaned and checked for proper function.
Measure flue-gas values, check heating curve, adjust water pressure — we optimise your system for maximum efficiency.
You receive a complete maintenance log with all readings — for your records and the chimney sweep.
We discuss the condition of your system, give tips on further use and advise on modernisation or replacement if needed.
Costs depend on the type and age of your heating. Maintenance for a standard gas heating starts at approx. €150 with us. For oil heating or heat pumps the effort can be slightly higher. We are happy to give you a binding quote in advance — without hidden costs.
Once a year is the recommended rhythm — ideally before the heating season starts in late summer or early autumn. That way you enter the cold season safely and efficiently. For older systems or after a fault, an additional inspection can also be useful.
For gas and oil heating systems, the Federal Emission Control Ordinance (BImSchV) requires regular flue-gas measurements. In addition, most manufacturers require annual maintenance as a warranty condition. Building insurers may also demand proof of maintenance in case of damage. Regular maintenance is therefore strongly recommended.
A complete heating service includes visual inspection, cleaning of burner and heat exchanger, inspection of all safety devices, flue-gas measurement, check of heating curve, water pressure and circulation pump as well as creation of a maintenance log. Details are listed in our checklist above on this page.
Yes, we service all common heat pump types — air-to-water, brine-to-water and water-to-water. The maintenance includes leak testing of the refrigerant circuit, cleaning the outdoor unit and checking the seasonal performance factor. This keeps your heat pump efficient and long-lasting.
With a maintenance contract you secure a fixed annual price, automatic appointment reminders and priority handling for faults. You don't have to worry about anything — we get in touch in good time to schedule the maintenance. In the long run you save through predictable costs and early fault detection.
